"Do you talk to your belly?"

I am a cultural anthropologist undertaking research that examines the importance and meaning of “belly talk,” or communication directed to an expected child in utero, for American women. For this study, I am conducting interviews with (a) women expecting a first child and (b) women with children expecting another child.
